Storyline

After a sudden surgery robs him of his ability to speak, labor rights lawyer Raúl must renegotiate his life, his family, and his identity—now through silence. His only outlet becomes an obscene parrot, gifted by the housekeeper, that strangely becomes his voice. Las Mutaciones is a tragicomic exploration of masculinity, family dysfunction, and the absurdity of language itself. Ramírez-Suárez crafts a story both surreal and deeply grounded, reflecting how the loudest transformations often happen in silence.
